Eastern York Recreation Authority will offer a Softball Fall FUNdamentals program on Mondays from Sept. 14 to Oct. 12 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Hellam softball fields, 266 W. Beaver St., Hallam. Monday, Oct. 19, will be a rain make-up date.

The program is geared toward current and new 7U players - those ages 4 to 7 - as well as 8- and 9-year-olds who are new to the sport. The sessions will focus on the fundamentals of softball in a positive, encouraging, and energetic environment. Through drills and games, players will learn the basics of throwing, catching, hitting, fielding, running the bases, and game awareness. Coaches will also emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, communication, and making new friends.
