The Scouts of Troop 39 B for boys and Troop 39 G for girls will host an open house on Sunday, Jan. 19, from 2 to 4 p.m. The event will take place at the Scout house, located at the intersection of Oak Alley and Alley H in Mount Joy.

Prospective members and their families may meet the Scouts and their leaders and learn about the Scouting program. Refreshments will be available.

Scouts BSA Troop 39 in Mount Joy has been providing a Scouting program for over 60 years. It currently serves boys and girls ages 11 to 18. The program provides supervised learning activities in the Scout house and healthy outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, and water sports. A merit badge program provides youths with more than 90 opportunities to develop leadership, independence, and skills to use throughout life. Participants meet every Tuesday.
