PCA&D selects interim president

Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (PCA&D) has announced that Audry K. Carter, former chairperson of the board of trustees, will serve as the college's interim president. Carter will take on the day-to-day leadership responsibilities for the college until a new president is identified and hired.

Carter has served as a member of the board of trustees for nearly nine years. She led the board as chair from 2019 to 2022, serving an extra year in order to shepherd the college through the COVID pandemic. A nonprofit leader for more than 40 years, Carter has spent the majority of her career in higher education in philanthropy and public relations at institutions such as Boston University and Ohio Wesleyan University. Her consulting practice, AQuire, focuses on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of nonprofit organizations. She holds a bachelor's degree in foreign service from Georgetown University and a nonprofit-focused Master of Business Administration from Boston University.

PCA&D's previous president, Michael Molla, resigned April 8 for personal reasons. The college has initiated a national search for a permanent college president.
