MTSD Receives School Operations Impact Award

Manheim Township School District (MTSD) has announced that it has been named the recipient of the 2026 School Operations Impact Award by the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials (PASBO). The award recognizes Pennsylvania school districts that demonstrate exceptional innovation in school operations.

MTSD was selected for its initiative Beyond Traditional Healthcare, which centers on the district's on-site employee health clinic, Penn Medicine HealthWorks. The clinic, which opened in June 2025, provides staff with access to primary care and counseling services directly on campus.

Representatives from the district accepted the award at the PASBO Conference, including Kate Ward, director of human resources; Donna Robbins, chief operating officer; Kristi Galbreath, PA-C; and Amber Murr, manager of HealthWorks Primary Care Practices with Penn Medicine HealthWorks.

In addition to providing health care services, the clinic space celebrates student creativity through a rotating gallery of student artwork, reinforcing the district's mission and the connection between staff well-being and student success.

As part of this recognition, MTSD was slated to receive a scholarship sponsored by PLGIT to support continued professional learning.

The PASBO School Operations Impact Award highlights innovative, people-centered solutions that serve as models for school districts across Pennsylvania.
