TOWNlively is not just your online local newspaper, we’re your link to the positive happenings in your town and the surrounding communities. It’s where you go for the good news about nonprofits, businesses, events and the incredible people who live here.
“Local like you” is more than our slogan, it’s who we are, and who we’ve always been. Like most small businesses, Engle Printing & Publishing Co., Inc. had humble beginnings. In 1954, founders, Alvin and Pauline Engle purchased a printing press and started their business in the basement of their Mount Joy home. What began with one local newspaper has now grown to 16 newpapers serving all of Lancaster County, and parts of Chester, Berks, Dauphin and York Counties.
Today, the family-owned business is led by the second and third generations of the Engle family, who continue the vision of service to the community.
