Presentation by Colonel Charles M. Bechtel, USA (Ret.) at the Hershey History Center, 40 Northeast Drive, Hershey, PA 17033. Thursday, July 3 at 6:00 pm to 7:00pm. Charles (Chuck) Bechtel will share his experience as a Vietnam veteran and the healing experience of returning to the country with a group organized and sponsored by a Vietnamese woman who was sent to the States at age five as Saigon was falling. Colonel Bechtel was active throughout his career in procuring help for the often maligned and misunderstood Vietnam veterans.
His book, Sent to War: Returning for Peace, will be available for purchase at the program. HHC members receive a 10% discount. Registration is not required. Everyone is welcome to attend.
