Event to celebrate lunar new year

Susquehanna Waldorf School invites families to its Lunar New Year Celebration on Wednesday, Jan. 29. The event will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at Barnes & Noble, located at Red Rose Commons, 1700 H Fruitville Pike, Lancaster.

The event will welcome the Year of the Snake with lion dancing performances at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m., story times at 4 and 5 p.m., and children's crafts from 4 to 6 p.m. Attendees will be invited to pop bubble wrap "firecrackers" at 5:30 p.m.

Susquehanna Waldorf School, a nonprofit organization based in Lancaster County, integrates Mandarin language instruction starting in first grade to foster cultural awareness alongside creativity and individuality.
