Dementia Support Group to Meet

Senior Commons at Powder Mill, 1775 Powder Mill Road, York, will host a monthly meeting of its dementia education and support group on Wednesday, April 15, at 3 p.m. The group's programs aim to promote the well-being of older adults with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia and their family care partners.

The meeting will feature a program about the various stages of dementia, presented by Emily Snyder, a physical therapist, and Jenna Grow, an occupational therapist, both from FOX Rehabilitation. Afterward, attendees may participate in a dementia simulation lab to experience what it might be like to have dementia.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Reservations are requested by Tuesday, April 14, by calling 717-741-0961 or emailing dadams@powdermill.com.
