Ephrata National Bank Announces Hire

Ephrata National Bank (ENB) has announced the addition of Mark Shell as senior vice president, chief technology officer (CTO), based at ENB's main office location.

In this role, Shell will lead the bank's technology and innovation strategy, overseeing informational technology (IT) infrastructure, services and support, and application delivery. As CTO, he will focus on modernizing ENB's systems, enhancing security and supporting long-term digital transformation efforts that align with the bank's mission and strategic growth plans.

Shell brings 25 years of IT and cybersecurity experience across financial services, government, and other industries. Most recently, he served as chief information officer at Traditions Bank in York, where he oversaw a comprehensive technology modernization, developed and implemented cloud-first and cybersecurity strategies, and directed digital transformation initiatives. He has also held leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), FedChoice Federal Credit Union, and Freedom Federal Credit Union.

Shell is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified SCRUM Master, and he has earned master's degrees in both IT and finance.
