Chamber announces award winners

The 2024 Chamber Awards were announced on Feb. 7 at the Manheim Area Chamber of Commerce's annual meeting. This meeting, meant to recognize the work being done in Manheim, was held virtually via Zoom.

Four Manheim Chamber members were announced as recipients of this year's awards.

HQ Water Solutions received the Spirit of Manheim award, which is presented to a chamber member that is a cheerleader for Manheim and always has the community and its local businesses in mind. HQ Water Solutions owners Jordan and Stephen Evangelista frequently give their time, support and dollars to better the community. Their activities have included donating to local sports teams, shopping in the downtown retail shops, placing signs for local events, and sharing on social media.

The Social Media Champ is Artifice Ales & Mead. This award is presented to a chamber member that has put its business on the map by using social media and has steadily grown its social media accounts by staying abreast of the trends. Artifice consistently posts about upcoming events and shares reels, which are often humorous.

Kreider Farms was honored with the Cornerstone of Manheim award. This accolade goes to a member that has been considered part of the foundation of the Manheim community for many years and has helped Manheim by donating to the community, creating jobs and fostering economic growth. Kreider started in 1935 under the leadership of the Kreider family and has grown exponentially. The business has long been an active member of the Manheim community, donating financially to various organizations, schools and nonprofits. The business seeks to be a good steward to its community, the land and environment, and its employees.

Cottage & Vine received the New Business of the Year award for a chamber member that has been in business for three years or less but has grown despite the current business climate. Cottage & Vine's Katie Gibble opened her storefront in the post-pandemic economy, and she is known for her positive attitude and friendly demeanor.

The winners were presented with a small glass rose made by Stiegel Glassworks.
