The Torch Community Center, located in the Clock Tower Plaza, 2846 Main St., Morgantown, has announced upcoming programs for August. All programs are open to the public.

Worship and Prayer Tuesdays will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays through Aug. 30. Pizza and Karaoke Nights will be offered at 6 p.m. on Thursdays through Aug. 25.

The following speakers will be featured on Fridays in August from 7 to 9 p.m.: Aug. 12, Lee Schappell; Aug. 19, evangelist Tracey Weiss; and Aug. 26, pastor Jarrett Howard.

Visitors to The Torch can enjoy fellowship and fun. The facility includes a pool table, a small kitchen area, a stage for performers, coffeehouse-style booths and sofas designed for conversation and a library featuring books for both adults and children.

Additionally, TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), a nonprofit weight loss support group, meets on Tuesdays from 8:45 to 10 a.m. at The Torch.
