Lititz VFW Post 1463 will sponsor a Plan, Prepare, and Protect event in connection with National Safety Month, June, on Wednesday, June 8. The event will begin at 6 p.m. in the ballroom at Lititz Springs Inn & Spa, 14 E. Main St., Lititz.

Safety professionals from Community Safety & Security Consultants (CSSC) will present information on personal safety and how to better identify, avoid, and react to potentially dangerous situations or events. Topics will include increasing situational awareness, parking lot and vehicle safety, home safety and security, dating/campus safety, parent protection from child predators, senior safety measures, and self-defense options. Prizes, giveaways, and refreshments will be included in the program.
