LDHS Students To Continue Athletic Careers

Lower Dauphin High School (LDHS) student-athletes announced their college decisions during a Letter of Intent Day ceremony in the school on May 10.

Darius Machingo, the son of Debbie Clifton, joined the baseball team this year after moving from Virginia, where he earned several awards. He will attend Ursinus College to major in health and exercise physiology.

Will Nelson, the son of Bill and Wendy Nelson, was a four-year member of the baseball team. He will attend St. Mary's College of Maryland to major in psychology.

Aidyn Gingrich, the son of Ryon and Shannon Gingrich, is a four-year letter winner in football. He will attend Lebanon Valley College to major in history.

Ethan Miller, the son of Heather and Ken Miller, is a three-year letter winner in football and was a first-team Mid-Penn Keystone Division all-star. He will attend Stevenson University to major in marketing.

Cody Rosati, the son of Mark Rosati and Susan Bryan, was a varsity captain and a four-year member of the lacrosse team. He will attend Chatham University to major in business management.

Harshaan Grewal, the son of Kevin and Preet Grewal, played soccer for two years after transferring from ELCO. For the Falcons, he was a second-team all-star his junior year and first-team his senior year. He will attend Juniata College.

Adam Dotts, the son of Matt and Misti Dotts, is a four-year member of the boys' swimming team and lettered all four years. He also swam at the District 3 meet for three years. He will attend Penn State Altoona to major in communications.

Katelyn Hanft, the daughter of Kathy Hanft and Ben and Eliza Hanft, is a four-year member of the girls' tennis team, making varsity her senior year. She will attend Shippensburg University to major in computer science.

Jacob Kauffman, the son of Dan and Jaime Kauffman, is a four-year member of the track team and was named an outstanding track and field athlete in 2021. He will attend California University of Pennsylvania to major in criminology.

Saige Wilt, the daughter of Jennifer Beck and Dane Wilt, is a four-year member of the track team and earned a seventh-place medal at the District 3 tournament in high jump. She will attend Ursinus College to major in psychology.

Ethan Espenshade, the son of Nathan and Eileen Espenshade, is a four-year member of the volleyball team and also serves as manager for the girls' volleyball team. He will attend Messiah University to major in computer science.

Craig Patrick II, the son of Craig and Natine Patrick, is a four-year member of the volleyball team. He will attend Lancaster Bible College to major in business management.

Derick Colon Santiago, the son of Glendaly Santiago Colon and Herrberto Colon Marcano, became a member of the volleyball team when he transferred to Lower Dauphin from Puerto Rico. He will attend Elizabethtown College to major in chemistry.

Carter Powell, the son of Kristen and Eddie Powell, is a four-year member of the wrestling team and a varsity letter winner. He will attend York College to major in sports management.
