Library Posts Financial Literacy Programs

Adamstown Area Library, 110 W. Market St., Adamstown, will offer a two-part series in observance of Financial Literacy Month, April. These programs are free and open to the public.

Abby Kiebach from Wheatland Federal Credit Union will give a presentation on identity theft on Tuesday, April 19, at 6:30 p.m. In this brief seminar, Kiebach will share information to help people protect their identity and finances. Topics will include how to guard against identity theft and elder financial exploitation, how to prepare financially for unexpected life events and disasters and find resources for managing money and reporting financial exploitation.

Brandon Webb of Members 1st Federal Credit Union will present "Understanding Credit" on Tuesday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. Webb will share how to manage one's use of credit, including how to build a credit history, components of a credit score, types of credit, using credit wisely, and comparing credit cards. The seminar will include a presentation and activity designed for adults and older teens.
