Library Posts April Schedule

A Readers' Roundtable Book Discussion will be held on Monday, April 4, at 2 p.m. The group will discuss "The Lincoln Highway: A Novel" by Amor Towles in the library board room.

The Hooks & Needles yarn craft club will gather on Monday, April 11, at 6:30 p.m. on the library's first floor. Individuals interested in knitting or crocheting are welcome to attend, including beginners.

Steve Klotz, coordinator of Dementia Friendly Lancaster County, will present "People Living With Cognitive Changes and Memory Loss" at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 30. The program will help family members, friends, and other care partners to understand what a dementia diagnosis means, the unique challenges it presents, and how to successfully communicate in a way that lowers stress and deepens relationships. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation, and printed resources will be available.

Teen Tuesdays will take place weekly from 3 to 5 p.m. Open to students in grades six through 12, the program offers books, snacks, Wi-Fi, and social connections.

Preschool Story Time will be offered on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. for children ages 3 to 6. Toddler Thursdays will be held for children ages 1 to 3 at 10:30 a.m. Siblings are welcome to attend.

Egg Adventures will be held on Friday, April 1, at 2 p.m. Participants will learn about chickens, eggs, sustainable farming, and more, and they may decorate eggs.

The Lego Creation Club will gather on Thursday, April 14, at 6 p.m. Using Lego bricks, attendees will build themed creations that will be displayed in the library.

Flower Power! will take place on Thursday, April 28, at 6:30 p.m. Participants will take a closer look at flowers through activities and experiments designed for people of all ages.

In addition to books, DVDs, and audiobooks, the library offers a variety of other resources. A library card allows patrons to borrow museum passes, a ukulele, STEM kits, games, themed kits, dolls, and more.
