EGT Plans Discussions

Exploring, Growing Together (EGT) discussion series will be held on Thursdays, Feb. 3, 10 and 17, at Lititz United Methodist Church, 201 E. Market St., from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in room 103 on the lower level.

Evie Bergey will lead discussions of "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by Rebecca Skloot. Henrietta Lacks, known to scientists as HeLa, was a poor, black tobacco farmer whose cells became an important tool in medicine.

Those who wish to wear masks may do so. Attendees are also welcome to bring their lunch to eat during discussions.

Linda Van Til, certified lay minister, will lead a series on Thursdays, Feb. 24, March 3 and March 10, featuring the DVDs "Miracles From Heaven," "Heaven Is for Real" and "90 Minutes in Heaven." This series only will run from at 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The DVD series "God's Not Dead: A Light in the Darkness" will be offered on Thursdays, March 31, April 7 and April 14.

EGT aims to offer a safe learning environment in which to discuss and explore diverse topics and beliefs. Contact Linda at 717-626-0745 or raven303@ptd.net with questions or suggestions or to obtain a new series schedule.

If Warwick School District is closed due to weather conditions, EGT will not meet in person but will meet via Zoom, if needed. If Warwick School District is delayed, contact Linda for the meeting status.
