Penn State Extension will offer two upcoming courses via Zoom.

The Arborist Short Course Series is designed to increase working tree knowledge and professional arborist skills and to prepare participants for the ISA Certified Arborist exam. The course will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Jan. 18 to Feb. 3; Wednesday, Feb. 9; Thursday, Feb. 10; Wednesday, Feb. 16; and Tuesday, Feb. 22. Registration is required by Friday, Jan. 14.

The Woods in Your Backyard Series is designed especially, but not exclusively, for landowners who live on smaller landscapes, generally less than 10 acres. The series will share how landowners can positively influence the environment by implementing simple stewardship practices. The course will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Jan. 19 to March 16. Registration is required by Monday, Jan. 17.
