Historical Society Plans Free Program

The Historical Society of the Cocalico Valley (HSCV) will present an educational program on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 167 E. Main St., Ephrata, at 7 p.m. The program, "Native Americans," will focus on the culture, history, and life of native peoples as told by Uhma Ruth Py, a Lenni Lenape descendant. Py's presentation will include pictures and artifacts with a goal to foster a respectful awareness of her ancestors.

The meeting will also include a presentation of the names of proposed officers and trustees at large to the membership.

The event is open free to the public. In accordance with the church's guidelines, all attendees must wear a face covering. For details, call the HSCV at 717-733-1616.
