Library Plans Benefit Auction

The Columbia Public Library, 24 S. Sixth St., Columbia, will host a benefit auction on Sunday, Sept. 19. The auction will include historical and contemporary artwork as well as books. The auction preview will begin at 12:30 p.m., with bidding starting at 2 p.m. "Buy it now" tables will also be available for art and literature enthusiasts.

The auction will take place on the lawn between the library and Locust Street Park, with light refreshments provided. Proceeds will be used to preserve paintings in the library's permanent collection.
