The Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, has posted upcoming events. The programs are free, but pregistration is required by emailing governordick@hotmail.com or calling 717-964-3808. Callers should leave a name and phone number in case a program is canceled. All programs will begin at the environmental center.

Summer Story Forest, an outdoor story time followed by an activity, is for children up to age 10. This program will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 23. A fee applies.

On Saturday, July 24, at 1 p.m., the center will host a butterfly walk, where participants will explore the meadow to see several species of butterflies. Attendees are encouraged to bring water.

A Music on the Porch bluegrass jam will take place on Sunday, Aug. 1, from 1 to 4 p.m. Attendees are advised to bring lawn chairs.
