American Legion Awards were among the accolades presented during this year's Donegal Junior High School awards ceremony. Each year, the local units of the American Legion Auxiliary and posts present the American Legion School Award to six eighth-grade Donegal Junior High School students. This year's winners are Mallory Berkheimer, Trevor Engle, Kathryn Fernald, Chloe Hipskey, Andrey Rivas Naranjo and Fabio Maciel Sanchez.

The American Legion School Award is designed to place emphasis on the development of the qualities of honor, courage, leadership, Americanism, scholarship, and service.
