Approximately 25 karate students of all ages from Chosen Martial Arts in Palmyra participated in the Back Mountain Invitational Tournament in Trucksville on June 26.

The students competed in three events: forms, sparring and padded weapons sparring. The participants were divided into categories based on their level of experience (belt rank) and also their age.

Collectively, the Chosen Martial Arts studio students won the most medals overall and placed first, second, and third in multiple events and categories. The students also learned about good sportsmanship, patience and self-control, noted master Lester Hicks, owner of Chosen Martial Arts.
