Swift Middle School eighth-grader Abigail Gorgo has once again advanced in the WITF Spelling Bee, this time reaching the Grand Championship Oral Spelling Bee, which will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27. Gorgo earned the opportunity to compete in the championship round by finishing as one of the top 33 spellers from among the more than 130 students who recently took an online test. She qualified for the online test when she won the Swift Middle School Spelling Bee in December.

The Grand Championship Oral Spelling Bee will be held virtually via Zoom. The spelling bee sponsor is WITF-TV, virtual channel 33, a Public Broadcasting Service member television station.
