What is the mission of AHEDD?

The mission of AHEDD is to serve the community as a catalyst in the employment and development of people with disabilities. Our passion for community employment includes support for youth and adults with all types of disabilities, physical and cognitive, and those that come from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds and varying levels of academic achievement and work experience.

Why is the organization excited to participate in Give Local York this year?

We are excited to participate in the Give Local York because this is not only an opportunity to raise money but also to raise awareness and strengthen relationships we have with the families we serve and businesses of York. A big goal of AHEDD for 2020 is to become a more recognizable name around Pennsylvania, so we are hoping participating in the Give Local York will help with that as well!
