Visual and Fiber Arts Workshops Posted

The Ware Center will offer two hands-on visual and fiber arts programs in September.

A drawing workshop, Art as Seen Through the Eyes of Pablo Picasso, will be held on Mondays, Sept. 14, 21, and 28, at 7 p.m. Local artist Fred Swarr will lead the program, which is for people age 16 and older, including both beginners and experienced artists. Attendees will explore the artistic styles and techniques Pablo Picasso used throughout his career.

Macrame Plant Pods will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. Cindy O'Shea will lead the beginner-friendly workshop, which is open to people of all ages. Participants will learn four essential macrame knots: the lark's head knot, square knot, alternating square knot, and gathering knot. In just over an hour, participants will complete a small hanging pod perfect for plants, propagation, and more.

Each program has a fee. Registration is required, and space is limited. To purchase tickets, visit http://www.artsmu.com, call the box office at 717-871-7600, or visit the Ware Center or the Student Memorial Center Box Office on the Millersville University campus.
