Conestoga Area Senior Citizens, a new group for senior citizens in Conestoga and surrounding areas, will have its initial gathering on Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. to noon at Conestoga United Methodist Church, 71 Sandhill Road.

The group will meet on the third Wednesday of each month in the church's fellowship hall. The program agenda for the fall will include Sept. 16, "Stories Radiating From the One-Room Schoolhouses in Conestoga From the 1850's Until the 1950's"; Oct. 21, "Give Me Five, Now Six! Sold! Tales From an Auctioneer"; Nov. 18, a topic yet to be decided; and Dec. 16, "All Aboard! Model Railroading at Its Best."
