Two WITF podcasts were recently recognized by the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association and Society of Professional Journalists.

The Keystone Media Awards, sponsored by the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association Foundation, gave "The Morning Agenda" first place in the Radio II Podcast category. Karen Hendricks hosts the daily news podcast, which aims to transform complex local news and regional politics into timely, meaningful coverage.

"The Morning Agenda" also won a first-place award from the Society of Professional Journalists' Keystone Pro Chapter in its annual awards. "The Morning Agenda" was honored in the category of podcasts produced by an organization with a staff of 49 or fewer.

The Keystone Media Awards also recognized "The Spark" episode "Meeting the Hikers of the Appalachian Trail: Stories From the Swatara Trail" with second place in the Radio II Podcast category. In this segment, "The Spark" team set out to meet some through-hikers who aimed to complete the 2,197-mile journey on the Appalachian Trail.

"The Spark" and "The Morning Agenda" teams consist of Asia Tabb, Emma Halsey, David Payne, John Kinzer, Karen Hendricks, Jaxon White, Jordan Wilkie, and Fred Vigeant.
