Hershey Area Women's Connection will present a "Surviving Life's Surprises" luncheon buffet at the Hershey Italian Lodge, 128 Hillcrest Road, Hershey, on Wednesday, Oct. 9, from noon to 2 p.m. All ladies are invited to attend, and the cost is all-inclusive. No membership or dues are required.

Vanessa Williams, a vocalist from Lebanon, will perform. Lisa Haley, a young mother and author from West Salem, Ohio, will compare her rafting accident to life's struggles.
