CSA Subscriptions Available

Homefields Care Farm, 150 Letort Road, Millersville, has announced its 27th season of its community-supported agriculture (CSA) program. The CSA is a subscription program for organically certified crops.

Homefields Care Farm is a diversified farm that grows more than 200 varieties of vegetables and herbs. The farm employs adults with disabilities, offers vocational training for high school students with disabilities, practices land conservation, cultivates biodiversity, and encourages volunteerism within the community.

The CSA offers three sizes of vegetable shares, weekly or bi-weekly pickup options, two pickup days, and options for those who cannot make it to the farm. Prices were set in January and will remain the same throughout the season. CSA membership includes a pick-your-own pass for herbs, flowers, peppers, cherry tomatoes, and other items.

While CSA members are encouraged to pay in full for the season when they sign up, Homefields now offers the option of paying monthly with no added fees. Customers may choose to make the monthly payments offline.

If shares are still available, new members may join the CSA at any time; the membership costs are prorated weekly. To join the CSA, visit http://www.homefields.org/farm.

Homefields is committed to reducing barriers to fresh, whole foods for community members. The farm partners with Community Action Partnership to bring a mobile market called Rolling Roots to the community, offering organic produce at reduced prices for everyone.

Community members are invited to learn about organic farming practices by volunteering alongside team members and other volunteers at Homefields. No experience is needed. For more information or to sign up, visit http://www.homefields.org/volunteer.
