The Democratic Club of Willow Valley (DCWV) awarded two scholarships on May 14. The scholarships were presented to graduating seniors from Lampeter-Strasburg High School during the Senior Awards ceremony at the high school.

Audrey Wieand received the $1,000 Involvement Scholarship based on her work in the community. She plans to attend Grove City College to study middle level education.

The Thaddeus Stevens $1,000 scholarship sponsored by the DCWV was awarded to Brooke Hess. Hess plans to attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology to study advanced welding fabrication technology.

The scholarships are awarded annually by the DCWV to support local high school students in their further education as they enter adulthood.
