The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank (CPFB) team and the Lancaster County Master Gardeners invite backyard gardeners to join their collaborative efforts to increase fresh food access to those in need. This year's goal is to engage 50 gardeners in Lancaster and Dauphin counties to grow and donate 25,000 pounds of produce. Items such as fresh vegetables, herbs, and fruits are in demand specifically for any of the participating CPFB pantries.
Gardeners with any level of experience, including beginners, are welcome to participate, and Master Gardeners will help to answer questions throughout the growing season and provide in-depth information for Adopt a Pantry gardeners in two webinars. Rebecca Fisher, CPFB Coordinator, will help connect produce donors to affiliated pantries.
