OASD Sets Town Hall Meetings for Charter & Cyber Students

Octorara Area School District invites families and community members to attend upcoming Town Hall events designed to highlight the many programs, opportunities and experiences available to students across the district.

The events are open to all families, including those currently exploring educational options such as charter schools, cyber programs or flexible learning pathways. District leaders will share information about academic programming, curriculum updates, student support services, extracurricular opportunities, athletics, arts programs, Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways and the district's Octorara Virtual Academy (OVA).

The district will host two opportunities for families to participate. The first will be an in-person town hall on Monday, May 18, at 5:00 p.m. at the Octorara Area Middle School MPR. A virtual town hall will also be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19.

"These events are an opportunity for families to connect with our schools, ask questions, and learn more about the experiences and supports available to Octorara students," said Dr. Shawn Dutkiewicz, Superintendent of the Octorara Area School District. "We are proud of the opportunities available across our district and look forward to sharing more with our community."

At Octorara, students are known, supported and encouraged to grow from early learning through graduation. The district continues to expand opportunities that prepare students for college, careers, and life beyond high school.
