Orchestra Plans Concerts

Lancaster Symphony Orchestra will end its 79th season with "The Planets" on Friday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, May 16, at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, May 17, at 2:30 p.m. All performances will take place in the Gardner Theatre within Lancaster Country Day School, 725 Hamilton Road, Lancaster. In addition to Holst's "The Planets," the orchestra will present Lauridsen's "Lux Aeterna" with the Lancaster Symphony Chorus. In addition, the orchestra will present a free concert in Lititz Springs Park, 24 N. Broad St., Lititz, in celebration of Memorial Day weekend. The event will take place on Saturday, May 23, at 7 p.m. Attendees may bring blankets and lawn chairs.
